What do you get when you combine beautiful people with beautiful souls, a gorgeous venue, all-black bridesmaid dresses, an explosion of wedding florals, and a bride-stuck-in-an-elevator incident as the cherry on top? You get Alex and Chance’s iconic Barndiva wedding. These two tapped into all the charm that Healdsburg, California has to offer to create a warm, intimate, and laughter-filled wedding day.

I gushed a little too hard about Alex and Chance on their engagement blog post, so click here to read more about their story and what phenomenal humans they are. Everything I already loved about them increased tenfold on their wedding weekend. For how gorgeous all the material details of the day was, it was their relationships with their community and each other that was the highlight of the day. And that’s saying something, considering how stunning every element of their day was. The wedding party and families got ready at the lovely Healdsburg Hotel, where we held the first look and subsequently got stuck in elevator with Alex and half of her bridal party on our way to the ceremony. Firefighter rescue and all. Photo evidence below. And thank goodness for Alex having the best attitude and taking it in stride.

Barndiva has an absolutely ideal setup for weddings. The ceremony spot, Barndiva Garden, is perfectly shaded with steps that are perfect for staging group photos and adorning with florals. The reception area is what people come to Barndiva for–– it is lit with warm, twinkling market lights in a semi-open structure. The standout for me was the floral arrangements created by the talented Ampersand (based in San Francisco). Those arrangements will forever be my wedding floral inspiration. Also, I am now team all-black bridesmaids dresses. This wedding party absolutely slayed. We survived an elevator incident, danced the night away, and even enjoyed the post-wedding family brunch with the clan. Keb and I were gifted with a wedding weekend we look back on with only the fondest memories.
