Malibu Solstice Vineyard Wedding Overlooking the Pacific Ocean

Malibu Ocean View Wedding || Malibu Wedding Photographer

This intimate wedding for Camille and Aaron at Malibu Solstice Vineyards couldn’t have been sweeter. After being high school sweethearts of 10 years (!!), and a few Covid wedding planning setbacks, these two finally got to make it official. They exchanged their vows on the beautiful grounds perched high above Malibu, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Malibu Solstice Vineyard Venue Tips:

These two were particularly inspired by the Spanish architecture that Malibu Solstice offers. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous and photographs stunningly. A photographer’s dream 🙂 And the jaw-dropping views are comparable to those at Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate, another venue in Malibu that comes at a heftier price tag.

If you’re thinking about getting married at Malibu Solstice Vineyard, one thing to keep in mind is that it’s a long, winding, and narrow canyon road to get here. I’m comfortable on these roads because Malibu is home to me, but make sure your guests and vendors are aware or have a shuttle service available for them! Camille and Aaron hired a shuttle from their hotel block, which I highly recommend.

The ceremony site itself is on pebbly gravel, which is pretty tricky to walk on, and not very wheelchair-friendly. The ceremony is viewable from the patio above the ceremony lot, but anyone in a wheelchair or needing more accessible accommodations might feel removed from the gathering.

The upside of being tucked so far into a canyon is that the views and the quiet solitude are unmatched. It feels you’re in another beautiful little world up here! There’s plenty of space to walk around for epic couple’s portraits; you’ll have the entire venue and grandiose skies to yourself. That doesn’t go for every venue in Malibu, since many operate multiple weddings per day, and you have to strictly keep to your section of the venue.

Another big plus is that you can stay on-site and rent out the estate to host your family or wedding party at a fairly reasonable cost for Malibu. The Vill at Malibu Solstice Vineyard can sleep 10 in the 5 bedrooms, which is a perfect size to have a weekend-long celebration while keeping it intimate!

Did all that scrolling get you jazzed to reach out? I'd love to hear from you!
